sai and yamato probably work the overnight shift since naruto and the others are still in school. kakashi stays until like midnight but after that its just those two. they are kind of unnerving and most people dont come in unless its weird people like. deidara or sasori or suigetsu who is probably breaking curfew in some kind of shitty rebellious adolescent stunt. yamato and sai take turns napping. when sai is in charge he just STARES at everyone who comes in until they pay and leave, or just leave without buying anything at all (im observing interesting people so i can draw interesting characters, he says, when kakashi asks. hes experimenting with graphic novels, yamato explains.)
kakashi lets each of his employees have control over the radio for an hour each and its absolute chaos.
Naruto is constantly switching the channels and he takes forever to turn the dial so half of the time its just static, and whenever he DOES settle on a song it is loud and absolutely no one else likes it.
Sasuke chooses to have the radio off entirely, he thinks its more peaceful and besides the refrigerators are humming so that’s enough sound right?? Kakashi keeps naruto busy in the back so he won’t do anything reckless and sakura loudly restocks everything
Sakuras music varies but it isn’t bad ??? They begrudgingly accept her music tastes and manage not to bicker too much (its usually pop rock or pop)
Kakashis mood determines his choices because he’s not all that into music anyway.
do you think there would be a sasuke retrieval arc in naruto 7/11 au. i think so.
naruto only cares about the half shelf of instant ramen. he organizes the ramen differently at random intervals of time (by flavor, brand, packaging color, etc) and customers complain SO MUCH. kakashi tries to get him to knock it off but it doesnt stop him, he just starts to do it more often
sakura is the best cashier because naruto talks too much, sasuke doesnt talk at all if he can help it, and kakashi just stays in the back all day because he doesnt care. sometimes he fills the shelves, but he makes sasuke and naruto do that (mostly sasuke because naruto does not even bother to read the tags before he puts stuff up)
sometimes lee spends his days off making up sale posters for the store and ropes neji and tenten into doing it too, so gais store front is PLASTERED with posters with little stick figure drawings of the employees
kakashis store was left to him by his father, he never really planned on keeping it but then these punkass high school kids decided they needed a paycheck and he ends up hiring them so now hes got these kids AND a shitty store to watch over
gai opens his store a little after kakashi takes over his so CLEARLY they are rival stores now, its in the rules kakashi, i dont write them i just follow them!! gai’s family friends has a son who absolutely adores him so gai hires him to work part time at the store, and lee ends up bringing along his friends to work as well because gai needs the help
aside from gai, lee and naruto are the only ones who ever get caught up in the rivalry thing mostly because its so easy for naruto to get competitive, they stand outside their stores yelling at people to come shop inside but then just end up shouting at each other from opposite sides of the road. business was SO BAD that day.

gai hires these kids he babysat in his highschool days, so their store has a very comfortable atmosphere but the owner and one particular employee are so unnervingly helpful and enthusiastic it kind of freaks people out and they try to get out with as little as possible to save time
kakashi decided to pick three random kids with seemingly clashing personalities for the hell of it and makes sure they work on the same shifts (for the most part)
so, while their store is usually lively and entertaining, sometimes their antics are a BIT too much for those customers, do you have any idea how much those slushie machines cost naruto???? our customers do NOT want bits of sasukes imported mechanical pencils in their cherry cola delights
