At her wedding Ino saves a dance for Chouji and Shikamaru.

And for the Ino-Chouji dance, it’s this happy swing number and Chouji spends most of the dance lifting her up and twirling her around and they are both SO HAPPY and they just laugh the entire time and Chouji just kisses her forehead a million times and THEY ARE SO CUTE.

And for the Ino-Shika dance it’s this slow, acoustic number and Shikamaru thinks it is SO STUPID and SO TROUBLESOME, GOSH INO IT’S NOT LIKE YOU’RE GOING AWAY FOREVER. And he doesn’t look her in the eye for like half the dance and she gets huffy and irritated and then she notices there are freaking TEARS IN HIS EYES and then she starts tearing up and GOSH SHIKAMARU DO YOU EVEN KNOW HOW LONG THIS EYE MAKEUP TOOK????? And they’re both sniffling and shooting insults at each other the entire time and then when the song ends he gives her a really quick peck on the cheek and leaves the room to compose himself.

i always forget just how fucked up neji was after the sasuke retrieval mission like
