Family: most of my ocs are either orphaned or distant w family, brody’s family lives somewhere else, sometimes she writes to them or they write to her, but it’s very infrequent. they’re not estranged but they just sort of fell out of contact with each other
Best friend: she’d probably never actually use the term but black and stuart have been friends with her the longest even if she didnt really like them in the beginning, theyve become very close over time

How they met: brody and black came from the same town and they started traveling together bc they were teenagers and felt like it (a lot of ppl travel away from their homes to look for better shelter/resources). they met stuart a year later in the place they live in now. black liked him at first (black likes everyone basically) and brody did Not, but she put up with him for black, and i guess eventually began to see things to like in him? shes very bewildered by this.
