Gintama relationships: Tae and Kagura
"An underwear thief is a woman’s enemy. I’ll help Ane-go."
"All right, well said. Come and let’s exchange wine cups."
If you saw those two walking down the street, you wouldn’t doubt to label them as sisters, because that’s what they are. Tae is the big sister by default of Kabuki-cho, she’s someone who has shown to care about her people, and to kick their butts when they are being stupid. She will help you, but only if you show to truly want to step forward. And Kagura, Kagura it’s been a long time since she has had a woman to look up to, and Tae is someone who fills that role perfectly, because she’s delighted to have Kagura at her side.
Tae and Kagura are women who have grown up in completely different situations, but both have endured a lot and have had to adapt and grow on their own surrounded by men. And that has made them tough, it has teached them to stand up for what they want and not bend to others expectations. But they are still girls, and it is when in contact with each other that they can relax and let themselves be more at ease, because they know they don’t need to put any front for the other.
And yeah, they have Gintoki and Shinpachi who also don’t force them to push themselves too hard (we’ll talk about Shinachi and Tae one day tho), and with who they both can relax. But it’s not the same, Tae and Kagura fill each other’s lives with something a man cannot and that is a sense of security. Not in the sense of physical safety, but the security that with each other they can be themselves. It allows them to cry about something stupid, to go to the other’s house to show off a beautiful umbrella she has just received, and to talk about how dumb and gross men are. Tae and Kagura are both warriors, but they are also girls and it is good to have someone who shares that.

i drew a floating gintoki too but he didnt fit with the others
