i dont want to have a headcanon for whats up with kakashis face just so i can keep doing different shit to his mouth

i’m tired i’m sorry… but i was thinking about the nar’s whiskers, does anyone ever address them???? does nar even know he has them??? some sort of weird dramatic irony
ino and sakura are so perfect they are so typical teenaged girl
UGH THEY ARE SO GREAT its so easy to imagine them in a modern day au where sakura dyes her hair pink and her roots are always showing and they go grab McDonalds waaaaay too often to be healthy, sit in the same booth, ino threatens sakura if she dares tell anyone she’s eating a big mac, they keep their eyes locked on the door to people watch.
sakura always grabs a mcflurry to go which ino gives her shit for but they both end up splitting it every time, ino just grabs it from her hand as they walk around town, finally ending up at the playground after dark where they jump off the swings for hours until ino finally goes the same distance as sakura.
then they just walk home together and know they’ll do the same thing tomorrow.
in like the 5+ years between me dropping naruto and picking it up again, they’ve only become even more boyfriends. wow, amazing

i didn’t intend to make more than one naruto textpost in a row and yet here we are
the scene that kishimoto did show after neji’s death is so incredibly wonderful because it’s almost a complete reversal of what lee and neji’s relationship was up to that point, it’s almost surreal
neji’s approach is so humble and good-hearted and gently self-deprecating and it’s just. the total opposite of his previous attitude, which was something that lee had enthusiastically dealt with but had an obvious toll on his emotional health and it’s an actual relief to see neji actively get rid of all of his disdain (even though he does retain a lot of exasperation [with lee and guy, who wouldn’t])
what really cinches the whole scene for me is neji’s final promise that “as long as [his] eyes are black,” they’ll be rivals, and lee saying “shouldn’t you say, ‘as long as my eyes are white’?” its the most casual, charming exchange between them in the entire manga and it’s really worth noting that during that exchange they’re in funeral clothes so it’s probably right after the first big attack on konoha

neji’s saying all this while lee’s still in crutches. at this point in the story it’s already been said like 3 times that lee probably won’t ever be able to fight as a ninja again, and here’s neji promising that they’ll always be rivals
so basically what im saying is that i hATE ninja teen comic
