i feel the need to point out the US government, if it were to intervene, would not support Hong Kong. the US owes money to and has too much interest in China as a whole for them to compromise that by supporting a region that is ultimately minor in the scope of United States financial interest. 

please do not insult the people of hong kong by calling for a white house petition. the truth of the matter is your government doesn’t care, and pretending it is the solution to the problems in hong kong is ignorant at most.
