the issue with the word “brotp” is not that you are not allowed to ship things in platonic ways! It has nothing to do with whether or not you are “allowed” to ship things platonically! It has everything to do with the frequency that OTHER PEOPLES work that is intended to be romantic, and most importantly not a hetero pairing, has the tag or commentary of YOU stepping in and saying “brotp!” “no homo!” This has nothing to do with your personal shipping preferences and has everything to do with how it is tacked onto OTHER PEOPLES INTENTIONALLY QUEER art or writing or text post or anything. 

If you are SO bothered by people who follow you assuming that you ship a thing you are reblogging that you need to specify in the tags, just don’t! I don’t care if you think this is ‘tag-policing’ like the point is that you’re making people uncomfortable with your incessant no-homoing
