Why do people in the Tumblr social justice community like Gordon Ramsay so much?

Gordon Ramsay is horrible.

He went on a sexist, homophobic rant about a journalist and showed a photoshopped picture of her as a cross between a naked woman and a pig.

He paid his son to install a hidden camera in his daughter’s room to keep her from having sex.

He thinks women should get back in the kitchen (at home).

He doesn’t think women should be professional chefs.

In one Kitchen Nightmares episode, he went to a restaurant owned by a black woman who was the head chef, and actually liked the food (a rarity). He then proceeded to kick her out of the kitchen to make her a hostess and let the male chefs she hired take over the cooking.

He went on a racist rant against a black chef who didn’t suck up to him enough.

He made fun of a Latino chef’s accent on his show.

Why is he so universally liked in the Tumblr social justice community? Why do people act like he would be an amazing defender of the rights of the oppressed? I don’t get it. At all.
