so hey pals, my mother got in the first car accident of her life where she was at fault, and our insurance probably won’t cover the damage to our car or her possible injuries. we rear-ended a jeep cherokee in our pontiac g6 sedan, leaving our hood crumpled. my mother estimates the repairs will cost over 3,000 dollars.

i am practically the only source of income for my mother and myself, because my father is unemployed and does not contribute as much as he could, and my mother is disabled such that she is unable to work. she does receive a stipend every month but it has to go straight to bills, because we are severely in debt. her medication is extremely expensive, and she is severely depressed and suicidal. we live rent-free on my grandparents’ property but we are far enough out of town that there are no buses and our car is my only mode of transportation to and from my two jobs, aka, our only reliable source of income. this accident has also cemented the need for me to get my beginner’s, as odd as it might seem, which requires a fee.
