I’ve seen a lot of “texture” packs floating around on tumblr– but unfortunately, they’re not actually textures. They’re designs and various art pieces that have been taken from design-curated blogs and sites, like ffffound, behance, but does it float, etc. I could write a whole essay on how disappointing this is, about loss of credit, the culture it’s creating, and that “inspiration” is not synonymous with copying.

But instead, may I present: 50 textures that are either made from photographs I’ve taken, or images I’ve found through The Commons that I’ve manipulated. All the images have no copyright restrictions, are free to use/modify, and here’s the best part: they’re HUUUGE so if you feel like making a poster and sending it to print, you can do that! Which means the stuff you make with these you can SELL! And you don’t need to credit anybody!! Not even me!!
