apparently it’s not an explicit ban on recording police, it’s something that makes it illegal to record ‘private conversations’ without the consent of all parties - conversations that can’t be classified as private (such as loud street arguments) are fair game. that said, this thing still has a lot of potential for abuse, and it definitely seems skewed to protect cops
