My friend found this album from 2003 in a flea market over the weekend. There are no words.
Bubble Sisters–a Korean pop group who were told they weren’t pretty enough and needed a gimmick. Since they couldn’t be pretty, their gimmick was to make themselves look as ugly as possible. They decided to accomplish this by performing in blackface.
Anti-blackness is global. In before some gross ass k-pop fan says it’s not racist” and “they’re just ignorant” Like there aren’t black people in Korea, like there aren’t black Koreans who have to suffer from shit like this.
