as the end of the year gets closer, i know it’s really hard on some of my followers who don’t celebrate christmas or weren’t raised in households that do, being surrounded by a culture that completely obsesses over it. tumblr especially gets very celebratory & i know that can make a lot of people feel ostracized. that’s why it’s important for those who do get really excited to try and make sure the people around you are comfortable with your actions — tag your posts, don’t force the “holiday spirit” on anyone, and try to be sensitive to how other people are feeling and if you’re pushing their boundaries.
