People seeking asylum who have been forced into ICE camps are being sterilized (anyone who came forward was put into solitary confinement until they broke down, and teargassed), and doctors in California ignored reproductive rights laws to sterilize hundreds of young black people in jail (again without their knowledge or proper consent, anyone who came forward was thrown into solitary and threatened with violence), and also indigenous people in Canada came forward in 2018 saying they were forced into sterilization before seeing their newborn babies.
