Gintama relationships: Gintoki & Kagura

So, Gintoki and Kagura. A runaway little girl who decided to settle her nest under the branches of a grown up man who is still having difficulties on how to move forward. A father and his daughter.
Kagura left her planet in search of change for herself, she wanted to find what was best for her and find her own happiness. And Gintoki, Gintoki is a man who didn’t want to put any more weight on his hands since he learnt how heavy it could get, and how empty it felt if it was gone. But they crossed paths, and next day Kagura had already settled herself in his apartment. She entered his life and Gintoki sighed and let her in, because Gintoki once was a kid who didn’t have anyone, and although Kagura stated from the start that she had a family, it was also clear that she was not planning to go back, and Gintoki wouldn’t let a little girl, even if she was a Yato, alone in Kabuki-cho.
Because over 400 chapters have passed and Gintoki and Kagura have both grow up together. Because Gintoki is someone who even if he doesn’t have a clear path to follow, walks forward following his own convictions. And Kagura wants to reject the call of her blood, the path that is given to her by birth, and find her own way in life, so she will follow Gintoki’s silver light. But Kagura is still a Yato, she’s a strong girl and someone who wants to support Gintoki and walk side side by with him, so she won’t hesitate to grab him by the collar and tell him how wrong he is when she needs to. And after all this time, Gintoki has learned that she’s right, he has learned to put himself out of her way when she wants to hit a cannonball, instead of getting her out of the way.
And Kagura really is her kid, both of them have referred to the other in terms of father/daughter, and it really shows. Gintoki lets her keep the 2m. dog she wanted, he reforms the apartment into a workshop so she can look cool in front of her friends and he also scolds her. And Kagura, she goes to his room when she can’t sleep, she now picks her nose and she reads him manga when he’s injured.
One day Kagura will leave, maybe to beat up some aliens out in space with her biological dad, maybe to rule her own sukonbu factory as a factory manager. And Gintoki will smile at that and leave his door open for her to come back whenever she wants, because she will come back.
