like after the war im sure kakashi would forget that he just has a normal eye. he tries not to cover it anymore but he just keeps shutting his left eye even though its okay not to. sometimes he becomes hyper aware that naruto literally just grew an eye in his left socket out of nothing and its weird, so he pokes at it sometimes, on the lid. it gets to be this weird habit, like sometimes he touches the lid or he puts a hand over it. people dont talk to him about it.

my aunt has the BEST STORY about when she was studying abroad in france for a semester in college, and she and a friend were wandering around I think Paris, and these two men sort of sidled up to them and one of them said in a very thick accent
"hello girls, would you like to get some keek with us"
and the second man immediately elbowed his friend viciously and hissed “IDIOT! IT IS ‘CAKE’!!!!”
