then against zombie madara and kakashi’s unlucky childhood friend

then against not a zombie anymore madara

then mainly naruto, sasuke and now kakashi against zetsu and his mommy who is also an alien rabbit goddess (?) while sakura wonders what she did in a past life to deserve this shit

on reasons why the obi hajime arc is the most devastating one…we’re reminded once again what gintama is about, which is people. gintama is about gintoki, shinpachi, kagura, you, me, gintama is about everyone. gintama is about being close to those who matter to you, is about finding people who matter to you. 

before the story started, shinpachi lived alone with otae. he went from job to job trying to gain some money so the creditors wouldnt take his sister and the dojo away. shinpachi had had people before, he had had hajime nii and his father, but most of his life shinpachi had been alone with his sister. 

but then gintoki came, and shinpachi not only wasnt alone anymore, but he gained a new member to his little family. gintoki is not perfect, but neither is life in general. there will be always sadness and failures and tears, but there will also be happiness and succeses and smiles. and that’s what gintoki represents for shinpachi, that’s what people in gintama represent. they are not perfect, but that does not matter because they love each other. life will be tough, it wont be easy, but with gintoki, with everyone he loves, shinpachi can make it.

because again that’s what gintama and life are about, about finding people that you will be able to smile with even when the path is rough. the destination does not matter, what matters is that you can keep carrying on.

WASHINGTON — Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon called the National Guard to Ferguson late Sunday without letting the White House know first.

“Folks didn’t know,” an administration official told BuzzFeed Monday. “The White House did not know they were sending it in.”

Nixon gave “no heads-up,” the official said.

President Barack Obama is back at the White House today on a prescheduled break from his August vacation in Martha’s Vineyard. He’s scheduled to be briefed by Attorney General Eric Holder on the situation in Ferguson early this afternoon. Holder and the administration have been critical of the militarized response to protests in Ferguson.
