agoodcartoon

sadly, a person making minimum wage in america would be baffled by seeing a bill larger than a $5 or $1. a good cartoon.

almightybob

written by someone that’s never been to or worked in retail

dicklessturdpusher

"you deserve poverty for giving me poor customer service"

v10l3n7

I hope the person who made that cartoon dies a painful death.

and furthermore I’ll work circles around you, dickhead.

oh ps. what kind of name is Rob Smith Jr?????

svidrigailovskaya

"*this is a true story"

somehow i highly doubt it.

faethebunny

As someone who has done a lot in retail; this is literally impossible. The damn cash register tells you what change to give. The artist definitely pulled this one out of their ass

cheskamouse

Ass, brain, whats the difference?

ohgodhesloose

The best part that undermines the cartoonist’s intent is that, if she’s demanding $11/hour and the meal is $10.60, it means right now she can’t even afford to eat where she works with an hour’s pay.

princexneeshydoomcuddles

And even if this was a true story (which is like really clearly isn’t)

IT’S FULLY MORE LIKELY that there was some sort of counterfeit 20$ bill problem in the area

Because I see that ALL THE TIME, they have to call a manager because they know they aren’t supposed to just take the 20s in case their fake but maybe they don’t have the easy way to check the bill on them or something.

Like if your assumption is that someone sitting in front of a big computer/calculator machine all day doesn’t know how to give you change you’re just shitty tbh

soradiesinkh3

you can tell robsmithjr.com what you think of his shit comic

punwitch

This is a terrible comic, registers literally spit math at you, this is impossible lmao shit eating libertarians

iridessence

Also I’m pretty sure this is an exaggeration in that even if somehow a cashier didn’t know how to make change in that scenario, they didn’t actually loudly demand $11 for minimum wage moments before and fuck up like that immediately after. That seems to be an editing trick.

  1. sasuke: what i'm after... is revolution
  2. naruto: well have you planned out what to do after revolution
  3. sasuke: what
  4. sakura: yeah, after all, it'd be reckless to believe that just knocking down the existing structures would fix everything
  5. sasuke: what
  6. kakashi: that's right. the economic/political structures through the various villages right now are pretty hard-wired, and to change them for the better, certainly, the first step is doing away with the old, but if you don't have any steps afterwards, you're likely looking at the same old kind of powers rising up and taking control.
  7. sasuke: what
  8. naruto: so if we're going to go ahead with this revolution we also need to make sure that, beyond just killing the five kages, we tear down other capitalist structures underneath their reign and replace them with a system that uses resources and abilities - of which we seem to have almost no limit to, considering our own sizable skill with jutsus that allows us to move mountains themselves, our generate massive amounts of electrical power, for just a few examples - and put them to work making sure everyone is fed, sheltered, and has what they need.
  9. sasuke: what
  10. sakura: which isn't to say we can just stop there. there are other oppressive structures at work, not limited to just capital and how it is used and who it is put in the hands of, but multiple axes of power in general, as brought on by how history has been structured and the narratives given to us by both those in power and society as a whole, and working to remove those should also be part of our goal.
  11. sasuke: what
  12. kakashi: correct. now, if you'll look at this scroll here, i've started writing some theories on how, after revolution, we can use our jutsus, both as individuals and as a collective, to keep food production intact and distribute it to absolutely everyone
  13. sasuke: i just
  14. sasuke: i was just thinking i'd kill the five kages
  15. naruto: well that seems very short sighted of you
