initially i thought that and was super mad at canon for not actually letting them be a trans man but in the dekoboko arc kyuubei basically said theyre nb, or at least thats how i interpreted it and im going with that. besides that kyuubei’s gender stuff has always been kind of………. confused. to me. theres a good amount of me projecting onto kyuubei here so thats why theyre nb to me

getting sad about gintama gender stuff canon so heres my new gender canon proposal:

  • katsura: bigender
  • kyuubei: non-binary
  • kagura: trans girl
  • gintoki: femme cis guy
  • takasugi: agender
