Thanks to a follower for finding this: Her name is Venus Green.
In July 2009, Green’s grandson, Tallie, was shot and wounded. Tallie said he was shot at a convenience store, but police insisted it happened inside Green’s house and that the shooter was either Tallie or Green.
"Police kept questioning him. They wouldn’t let the ambulance attendant treat him," Green said. "So, I got up and said, ‘Sir, would you please let the attendants treat him? He’s in pain,’" Green said.
Green said the officer said to her, “Oh, you did it, come on, let’s go inside. I’ll prove where that blood is. You did it.”
Police wanted to go the basement, where Tallie lived, but Green refused on the basis that the police did not have a warrant.
"I said, ‘No, you don’t have a warrant. You don’t go down in my house like that. He wasn’t shot in here.’" Green said the officer replied, "I’m going to find that gun. I’m going to prove that you did it."
A struggle ensued between a male officer and Green.
"He dragged me, threw me across the chair, put handcuffs on me and just started calling me the ‘b’ name. He ridiculed me," Green said.
An officer went into the basement and Green locked him inside.
"She locked the door, the basement door. She basically took matters into her own hands," Nilson said.
"This was my private home, and if I latched it, that was my prerogative because he had no search warrant to go in my basement. So, I had to right to latch it," Green said.
Green said she suffered a separated shoulder in the scuffle, and she sued the Police Department for assault and violations of her rights.
"I was once a block watcher, department head of a high school. (I’ve) been around education for over 50 years. (I’m a) law-abiding citizen, I’ve never been arrested, I paid my taxes, owned my home, my husband died 34 years ago. (I) raised my son and I have been brutally abused," Green said. "I feel like the Police Department needs to go back to school."

Martine Rothblatt is the founder and CEO of United Therapeutics Corp – worth an estimated $6 billlion – which is attempting to find a cure for pulmonary hypertension, a blood pressure condition affecting the lungs.
Earning $36 million (£22 million) a year, she beats out every other female executive in the US.
Speaking to Yahoo, she blamed a “pervasive hangover from thousands of years of patriarchy” for the lack of other female CEOs – and said that being transgender was in some ways an advantage.
She said: “One of the unique insights I have is a huge appreciation for all of the privileges I received as a man.
“As the oldest son I was expected to do great things, but so many times it’s the oldest son that gets that encouragement and not the oldest daughter.
“Those things kind of percolate and when all is said and done, only 11 of [the 200 highest paid] CEOs are women because of that.
“We need to start by educating our kids and society as a whole that a person’s productivity and what they accomplish should not be judged differently because they are female or male.”
Ms Rothblatt, who is also a lawyer and has written extensively on trans issues, wrote in 1995: “There are five billion people in the world and five billion unique sexual identities.
“Genitals are as irrelevant to one’s role in society as skin tone. The legal division of people into males and females is as wrong as the legal division of people into black and white races.”

Hi this is pengosolvent. i used to make music for pk for their PMD-Explorers group and even briefly dated them. i am posting this on a side account, not to hide, but rather because i usually delete text posts off the pengosolvent blog and i want to keep this one for as long as it is needed.
this is a post regarding purplekecleon (kecrambles, forbiddenflora, pk, papaya kitty, mel,etc) head of the now defunct PMD-Explorers group on da and creator of the webcomic floraverse. i’m outing them as incredibly manipulative and toxic. this post also talks about pk’s husband marl (callachan/marlcabinet) and naki (katyfarina/nakirambleszes) but only in passing.
i met pk in december of 2012 and knew them until july of 2013. i dated pk briefly and i made music for them and during that time i was run ragged. i hesitate to say they are abusive but they certainly show STRONG abusive tendencies including ignoring my needs, ignoring that i had previously been abused, using me for their own gains (while claiming i was using them), gaslighting me immensely, attempting to friend police me, and more. i have tried to keep quiet about this for a long time because pk gaslighted me and turned a lot of the people i had known against me.
I am coming forward because i began to realize this was not okay and i am increasingly worried for others as pk has a large audience and likes to silence and discredit those who try to speak against them. I have heard and know of a few others who were wronged by pk so this is not an isolated incident. i mention some people’s experiences but they wish to remain anonymous as they too fear pk and are still dealing with how pk has treated them.
pk is also incredibly ableist… i mean INCREDIBLY ableist i am still having a hard time wrapping my mind around some of these remarks.

My name is Justine Matlock, and I am a 22 year old trans woman from Charlotte, North Carolina. I’m in the process of my medical transition, and in order to achieve this, under the shadow of crippling student debt, I was hoping if anyone wouldn’t mind extending a hand. :)
As of Otober 2014, I have also been rendered without a permanent address, a vehicle of my own and health insurance- one could call this couch surfing, or homelessness. But what it means for me, in reality, is incredible instability, and a huge imposition on my wallet and those willing to provide me with temporary shelter. I need to find an apartment; not to mention enough money to cover the $65/hr electrolysis, or the roughly 85$ I’ll be spending every month on hormones.
In the mean time I will find work, but until then, any and all donations would greatly relieve me of stress. Immense gratitude is offered to anyone who would kindly help me in these times.
