Guys! Seven games for ten bucks, and all of them have female protagonists! that works out to only 1.40$ or so a game AND its going to a really great cause— Girls make games

There is a reason that most fanfiction authors, specifically girls, start with a Mary Sue. It’s because girls are taught that they are never enough. You can’t be too loud, too quiet, too smart, too stupid. You can’t ask too many questions or know too many answers. No one is flocking to you for advice. Then something wonderful happens. The girl who was told she’s stupid finds out that she can be a better wizard than Albus Dumbledore. And that is something very important. Terrible at sports? You’re a warrior who does backflips and Legolas thinks you’re THE BEST. No friends? You get a standing ovation from Han Solo and the entire Rebel Alliance when you crash-land safely on Hoth after blowing up the Super Double Death Star. It’s all about you. Everyone in your favorite universe is TOTALLY ALL ABOUT YOU.

I started writing fanfiction the way most girls did, by re-inventing themselves.

Mary Sues exist because children who are told they’re nothing want to be everything.

Hi there! My name is Nacho, and I’m a 20-year old college student currently majoring in Illustration. For the last 13-14 years, I’ve been living with Lyme Disease, which greatly limits my ability to walk and move (among lots of other stuff).

Walking causes me a great deal of pain, and I get tired easily. Unfortunately, I live in a city where driving isn’t always an option, and sometimes I have no choice but to walk several blocks to get to classes or to find food. For me, three blocks may as well be three miles.

I use a cane and occasionally a walker to help me get around, but even those cause some strain on my muscles and drain me a lot. After a lot of deliberation,I’ve decided to get a wheelchair to help get me from point A to point B while I’m in class! I’ve rented manual wheelchairs in the past, and the difference they make for me in terms of mobility is huge. Getting a wheelchair would help me a ton; at the very least, it’d be a step up from scooting around my classroom in a swivel chair.

This is where you guys come in. I have no source of income currently, and I’m not able to get the cost of a wheelchair covered by insurance, so I’ve decided to try and raise $400 to cover the cost of a wheelchair, as well as attachments to make the chair safer and more comfortable such as lights for traveling at night, a storage bag to carry my things, and a cushion for back support. This is the wheelchair I’m currently looking at, though I’m still hunting around to figure out what would work best for me.

Donations can be sent to my paypal, for which the email is pieonthebrain@aol.com, or you can click the shiny new donate button on my blog’s sidebar. I may open commissions later on as well, but for now I’m keeping them closed as my health has been poor lately.

I’m so incredibly grateful to anyone who helps me out with this and if this works out you all will have my eternal gratitude. Thanks so much!

Let’s get this thing rolling!!!!!! haha wheel puns

hey there! i will still be asking for donations to help me save up for school, but i’m going to find something other than gofundme to take them through.

i bring this up right now because i especially need money at the moment - my last paycheque got lost in the mail, i don’t have work until october 22, and since i get paid every two weeks i won’t receive my next paycheque before the first of november, which is when i have to pay rent. and i don’t have enough to pay rent right now. i really need 400 dollars by november 1, and if anyone could help me out and spare anything at all i will be so extremely grateful. i shouldn’t need to ask for urgent help after this, since ill receive a paycheque near the end of the first week of november.

i will sketch something for you in return if you’d like, as long as you don’t mind that i might not be able to get to it for a while. i will still be drawing something for everyone i still owe art to.

right now i’ll take anything anyone might want to offer through paypal, and my paypal address is musica-smi.le@live.ca . thank you so so so much just for reading!

sailoruranus

What are your thoughts on how Gintama handles gender? (i.e. Kyuubei's character, the genderbend arc)

ive already answered about kyuubei + genderb*nd arc both are mostly disappointing. its about par for the course regarding shounen series but still (heres some thoughts about kyuutae too since i talk about kyuubei’s gender a little)

gintama’s certainly isnt the worst handling ive ever seen of gender issues/trans people but i really really wish it was better

you see a tiny sign planted in the ground. bending down to read, you just make out, in impossibly tiny script “a mundane clump of dirt; much beloved by god, like any other”
