My oc is a Dutch trans guy called Kelly. In the Netherlands Kelly is strictly a girl's name, but even so he didn't change it, because he knew a couple of male American and English musicians called the same. When he introduces himself, he gets funny looks, but he feels really cool when he gets to say "It's American".

my oc brody is kind of the same?? shes a trans woman and shes never wanted to change her name bc its hers and shes comfortable with it. shes a witch and a self-proclaimed genius and can probably curse anyone who messes with her even though curses arent real, probably. people are probably just intimidated regardless

its not very actually because ling/lanfan is huge among fanartists but not as much among fanfic authors theres some ships that are just like that i guess (and also then theres the whole is it big on tumblr da pixiv etc)

yeah i was like ??? at the ling/lan fan tag bc everyone loves ling/lan fan. i dont look thru the fma tags on pixiv/da/tumblr so i guess it was just easier to look at ao3. i know theres a fair amount of edling on pixiv tho
