kagura’s awful uncles are pretty incredible to think about
kagura turning sixteen and going adventuring with uncle sakamoto and mutsu (who is the best) because FUCK YOU DAD YOU’RE NOT THE BOSS OF ME and she learns how to pilot a small spaceship and then one day sakamoto is like “ok your turn to navigate i’m gonna go get plastered with the old lady” and she’s just, in charge of this enormous ship. and the associated fleet. she does spectacularly and then she gets drunk for the very first time because, sakamoto declares, not crashing a spaceship and drinking sake are the two rites of passage. mutsu teaches her how to kick a man in the nads without permanently incapacitating him.it’s a good six months. gintoki mopes until she comes home.
as i mentioned before uncle zura drags her along on very ridiculous and mild terrorist missions and they yell “CURRY NINJAS” a lot and he always calls her Leader. she learns a lot of important things about life from elizabeth. elizabeth-senpai.
uncle tosshi doesn’t hang with her much but every so often he sidles up to her and is like “wanna go mess with okita?” and she’s like “fuck yeah” and he’s like “don’t fuckin swear you’re like eight, right? how old are you. shut up let’s do this thing. want a cigarette? wait nevermind you’re six.”
we don’t talk about uncle takasugi he’s not invited to family dinner.
uncle madao buys her small amounts of sukonbu and she laughs at him but inside she’s so sad because he should be saving his money but instead he gives her gifts because he loves her. what a dumb butt. quit being so nice.
kagura and her dads are important but kagura and her uncles are important too and i want her to know them better
