That is the exact spot my parents found a stray kitten. Nice little addition to the family, but would have been a terrible addition to the pavement had she not been very vocal OTL

No joke, the place where that cat is resting in this picture is called a “dead cat hole” it’s an automotive term.  Don’t believe me, look it up.

forestbeneathme

This is also where I found a stray cat, she was up in there during a thunderstorm and I begged my dad to let me being her inside and that’s the story of how I got my first cat.

Please don’t skip over this without reading it and making a mental note. Even if you don’t have a car, tell your parents or whoever, and make sure to do this. You think that’ll never happen but that’s what everyone thought who had this happen and didn’t check, and that poor cold cat met with a terribly sad end.

i just received this anthology of short BL stories about birds that i ordered ages ago in the post and was delighted to discover that past me had the foresight to order two copies of this magnificent volume instead of just one – in light of which I am going to give away the second copy to a randomly selected liker and/or reblogger of this post

this is a really really nice book. like i don’t know any japanese at all but all of the art is lovely, it’s got a lot of pages, and all kinds of birds are represented makin eyes at other birds within its many pages. nightjars. roosters. multiple kinds of owls. pigeons. budgies. waxwings. ostriches. kiwis. vultures. storks. u fuckin name it.

RULES:

  • reblogs and likes both count as entries
  • reblogging more than once doesnt do anything but i think we all know that by now right
  • you dont have to be following me
  • you do have to like birds (if you enter this giveaway i will assume you like birds)
  • i will post this to anywhere in the world but if you’re outside north america i might ask u to cover some of the shipping fees bc i am not as flush with cash as my ownership of multiple copies of this book about bird dudes gazin at each other romantically might imply

the winner will get my spare copy of this book mailed to them, and i will draw a bird yaoi picture each for two runners up – it will not be as beautiful as these bird mangas but it will be of whatever kinds of birds you desire (or it could be bird yuri or something i’m flexible)

giveaway ends JANUARY 12TH 2015, make sure you have your ask box open so i can let you know if you won

thank u!

Legend of Style on Teespring

When the City is in danger from magical forces of evil, these sprites take to the streets with Master Cans to save the day.

After being bored to death with twilight princess I imagined what it would be like if I did a take on a world similar to Zelda but closer to the reality I actually care about, where Zelda saved Link from the pigs and Gannon was a corrupt Mayor who sold out the city to dark corporate powers. I actually wrote a whole story behind this because I am crazy.

…so I just made it a t-shirt on teespring.

I’m gonna donate half the proceeds to a charity pertaining to institutional violence. Not sure which yet but probably http://www.justicecommittee.org/. I’ll keep you posted. Reach out if you have any suggestions.

Inspiring photos show the Hong Kong protesters’ parting gift to the government

Honk Kong’s democracy protests are over — for now.

Hong Kong police arrested pro-democracy activists and cleared out most of the protest area on Thursday, marking an end to more than two months of street demonstrations, Reuters reports.

But while Hong Kong’s turbulent democracy protests may have come to an end, the protesters who flooded Civic Square in central Hong Kong have a message for government officials:

This isn’t over.
