Police brutality and lethal force against Black and Brown bodies are merely SYMPTOMS of larger issues in this country, like systemic racism.

Working to end police brutality without focusing on race and racism is like cutting off the arm of an octopus. You’ve dealt with one issue but there’s still seven arms of racism still kicking.

Kotori Café, a bird café in Mitaka. It’s right across the street from the Ghibli Museum. I absolutely LOVED this café! The birds had such spacious, clean enclosures and looked super healthy and happy, the food was delicious, adorable, and reasonably priced, and the decor was just precious. As a bird lover, I was so incredibly happy to come across this place. I hope to go back someday!
