the storify alleging shaun king is a con artist is actually pretty old news and it is something he has addressed a number of times. i’m not saying you need to believe any particular story here but i think it’s misleading to circulate the storify without his response and without context.

as far as i know, he has not publicly addressed the mass blocking of black feminists on twitter- what i do know is that several people have privately contacted him about it and that he has told some people that it is related to a “block list” that he subscribes to. this is more recent. it’s definitely concerning.

I don’t think Canadians are as friendly as they appear. They stab trees and feast on their blood.

escapingallreality

And don’t acknowledge the continuing kidnapping and murders of native women

thewinchesterswagger

^ An extremely important human rights issue that’s been overlooked for YEARS. Since you’ve brought it up why not take a moment to sign this petition here to stop violence against Native women (you don’t have to be Canadian). Find out more information here.

god. the more I learn about north korea, in a weird way the more I understand dystopia novels. because one of the questions that always plagues me when I read dystopias is like “how is the rest of the world? are they okay? are they in on it? are they just ignoring it? what’s going on?”

but I don’t need to ask that question

we know the answer

we fucking know the answer

for real. reading the history of the laws (the many laws) written to keep blacks away from anything empowering is quite dizzying and housing discrimination was a big one. laws keeping and taking land from blacks go way back (for example) and as society progressed, it morphed to fit the times. nowadays it’s housing discrimination and it’s rampant

Shonda Rhimes needs to make a show for Black kids and let him star.

vivaillajams

How ironic. I was just talking about this.

This shit is serious. Gentrification is an issue. Housing discrimination is real.

christmascaroleesi

This is why I get wild angry about gentrification. This. White folk spent so much time forcing us out of the suburbs, keeping us out of the middle class, and into these neighboorhoods, and when we start carving out a space to flourish, they come in and push us out again.

My brother just started in a geology program this year, and one of the presents I’m wrapping for him is just a rock. Literally just a rock in a fancy bag and I am laughing so goddamn hard I can’t wait until tomorrow morning holy hell

biologizeable

Update: brother likes rock more than any other present, & is carrying it around all day

cornerof5thandvermouth

to be fair that is a REALLY nice rock

spacelover17

True geologists right there.

kinara
wullph

yo guys!!! please help in making the #arakin tag overthrow the #kinara tag

seeing as the kinara is a candleholder that is used in kwanzaa, it’s a bit bad to post images of japanese college boys fucking and all that other stuff don’t you think? especially around this time of year

why dont we start using the arakin tag instead? its literally just arakita and kinjou except for this one pic of a bat-racoon right at the bottom

NOTHING BUTKINJOU AND ARAKITA AS FAR AS THE EYE CAN SEE
