Are we really shitposting if all we do is reblog shitposts

At what point in time did we start outsourcing our shitposts

Will the shitpost market ever be ethical again

beesmygod

there is no ethical shitposting under late capitalism

When you discuss the wage gap, here are a few things to keep in mind:

  • Only white women make $0.77 to a man’s dollar.
  • Black women make about $0.68 to a man’s dollar.
  • Latina women make about $0.58 to a man’s dollar.

Intersectionality matters.

I will keep reblogging this to point out that disabled people, including men, make 22 cents on the dollar. Mostly because it is legal to pay us below minimum wage, but whatevs.

Sometimes getting angrier at your art means getting better.

For the past few months I had to work with water colours which I’m not very experienced in. Every singe illustration made me so angry…

… mostly because after every mistake I had a new idea on how I could have avoided that mistake. And while I learnt to avoid some of them, I kept making new mistakes that I hadn’t made before… and which I also only figured out after they were done.

But in the end, all those mistakes and ideas add up to some very nice new skills. Level up!!

So, be angry as much as you want. Just don’t stop drawing!

"allosexual" was not appropriated from the French term “allosexuel”. The term “allosexual” to refer to other-oriented sexuality has existed for at least twelve years. Stop reblogging that post saying that asexuals “stole it without doing research”, because clearly that person didn’t do enough research of their own.

iont wanna be that guy

but the fact that “allosexual” in the english language is used by psychologists to otherize sexual behavior is prolly one of the many reasons why the western ace community should abandon it. this, to me, makes its usage even worse (that and all the racist undertones). it reeks of the same dehumanizing conception of the term “homosexual” as that was widely used by scientists in conjunction with violent practices wrt gay and lesbian people to see how they “worked” bc same gender attraction was classified as a mental illness in the dsm up until the 70s. “non-ace” is a much better term but that’s just my onion. yall can’t reduce the stigma surrounding ace people by using these dehumanizing terms…but werk…

Cameron Diaz married Benji Madden, the guitarist for the popular punk rock band Good Charlotte, at her Beverly Hills home on Monday.

In an interesting twist, the couple had a Jewish ceremony — despite the fact that neither appears to be Jewish.

Diaz’s father was Cuban, and her mother has English and German ancestry. Madden, who started Good Charlotte with his twin brother Joel, was born to Robin Madden and Roger Combs. There is no evidence that he has any Jewish ancestry.

So why the Jewish wedding? US Weekly reported that the ceremony was complete with crushed glass, heartfelt chants of “mazal tov” and even a traditional Yichud ritual, during which the newlyweds were left by themselves in a private room after they said their vows.

The other possible phenomenon at work is the Jewish wedding’s transformation into a chic cultural statement.

Rachel Shukert expands on this in Tablet:

“For the first time in the history of America, Jewishness — and not just the bagels-and-lox part — is aspirational. There’s a Seder in the White House, and rabbis gave the invocation at the conventions of both major political parties … Ralph Lauren built an empire giving us all WASP anxiety; now the WASPs want to be Jews.”

The truth behind the Diaz-Madden wedding may turn out to be more straightforward, but having a Jewish wedding — even if the couple isn’t Jewish — might just be the next trend in Hollywood.

????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

What? No. This is unacceptable. I’m speechless. They’ve never respected our culture before, and now Jew Envy is a thing?

@tumblr SJWs: none of you wanna call this cultural appropriation? bc it fuckin is.

Today, on Martin Luther King, Jr.’s birthday, I would like to remind you not
grapeson

to forget that King’s family pursued a court case against the US in 1999 for assassinating MLK Jr. and WON. That’s a fact that is always conveniently left out of history books. Don’t let them turn him into their own personal puppet doll that says “I have a dream” when you pull the string, please.
