my-cat-can-slay-dragons said: tbh when I’ve been in one, since it’s communal, they tend to be bigger but also, because everyone uses them, more busy - in that there’s not much queueing, as you often get with women’s bathrooms, but also that if I was alone with a dude, it’s for a really short amount of time because someone walks in of any gender. I also think dudes are more likely to be conscious of making people feel comfortable a bit more because who tf doesn’t know that women might be uncomfortable near strange men?

my-cat-can-slay-dragons said: Unisex bathrooms have always felt just as safe as other bathrooms have. The only time I was like “woah” was when I entered one not knowing it was for communal use, and I thought I’d gone into the wrong bathroom until I looked again at the door.
